what a collection!!!!

I even discovered some fighters I did not know.
Thanks a lot for sharing these pics.

Great fleet!!!

Thanks everyone!

Now I just have to finish the rest. I am not even sure if I am halfway through the kits.

I have pretty much one of each kit except for the 2202 Yamato variants and the recolored blue Garmillas ship sets

The goal is to enjoy them on the self rather than looking at boxes in the closet even if it means skipping lighting on many of them

Oh yeah, instead of Photoshop, I use a program called Gimp. It handles transparency and effects quite well. Pretty sure it's available on Linux too.

I'll have to look into that. I used the free MS Paint 3D app that comes installed with Windows 10 but it can be a real challenge getting the borders defined.

I also want to try image stacking. It is a technique used by model railroad photographers among others to avoid the issue of having a model half in focus and half out of focus and simulate a more realistic depth of field as if the subject was much larger.

You basically do a whole series of bracketed photos slightly changing the focal point, than "stack" them resulting in a sharper more evenly in focus end result. That way you could have several ships in a shot and have them all in focus, or have a front to back shot with even focus throughout the length
