This is not a posable Gundam model, but rather a replication of Max Factory's legendary sofubi kit from the '80s of the Serbine. I'm nearly done with it.

The body was airbrushed with Gaia Notes Dunbine Pale Blue paint. The robot's shield features a sculpture of a nude woman, painted with Gaia Notes Starbright Gold. She looks striking set against the background of Mr. Color Metallic Blue. Last night I airbrushed the feet. I just need to do some more hand brushing for detail work and I'll have it done soon. I have a weekend coming up soon enough!

I've seen Dunbine in its entirety 15 years or so ago, before my daughter was born. I haven't seen it since, but I did get it recently on Bluray. The Serbine comes from the Dunbine OVA, however, so it's not a subject I was familiar with until I saw it featured prominently in the January issue of Model Graphix. The woman on the shield just looked too cool and I knew I had to get this kit.
