Hi all,

So i want you to show my biggest shelf queen kit.I got this thrashed and started kit at a model show two and a half years ago for free.I thought it will be a nice pratice piece for some new technics and to develope my skills.
So first of all i tried to scrape all the paint and all the tons of glue spillt on it(I am sorry but i dont have any kind of pics about how the kit looked when i got it).
After some how getting it to some kind of neatness i finished the build.I had to replace some parts that were missing like the german cupola from another 1/48 kv-1 german version kit. Also patch up the front look through with some plasticard(later painted as a rusted plate with some quick field repair in mind to patch up the armor).I couldnt get another muffler instead of the missing one so i left it off. Also i left off some of the steps(yes i could have replaced them with wire but i am too lazy and thsi started to be a practice model).
So when the building was done i started to paint it with soem black undercoat then vallejo russian primer and highlight it with soem lighter greens. Then a balck pinwash and also did the wheels with dirt and the shiny metal parts where the touch the tracks. But my mojo just left me at this stage so i put it aside for two and a half years.I got my modelling bug back a week ago so i started off again with it.
I did the chipping streaking and dust effects with various ak and vallejo stuff.I think it turned out to be nice.I was at the finish line i only had to do the dirty behind the tracks and then glue it together. But i thought i will test fit the guled and 100% painted tracks. Now this was the part where i broke them almost to pieces.First it only gave away at one part but when i tried to repairet another link borke then another and the paint and pigmets were pealing off so i got sooooo frustrated that i trashed the whole tracks.
Now i am waiting for the next model show here which will be in 2015 march where i can get some nice metal tracks for it do it properly. So this kit got back to its shelf queen position for some more months till i will be able to finish it.
In the meantime i fell in love with this type of tank that i got two of them in other scales. One 1/35 and a 1/120 and so i wiil post their building here too in this thread. Also looking forward getting one in 1/72,1/100 and 1/285  scale to have them in almost all the scales i could find :) !
But enough talk let the pics come:

Fine praise from you m8!Because looking at your blog I was realy jelaous about your skills :)!
When i took the pictures the pigment fixer wasnt dried fully so the mud on the front of the tank is a bit lighter not that dark. Also i dont realy like the rainmarks on the turret i think i got a too stark color for them. But this is a learning model so it doesnt realy matter it fulfilled its purpose.Hope i can finish it fully in the near future.
I the meantime i will soon post some pics about its little brother the 1/120 scale kv-2 from hauler :)!

So while this KV-2 sleeping on the shelf waiting for his metal tracks i started his first little brother!A 1/120 kv-2 from Hauler.
