I am working on the Revell F5E (second attempt) and I am about to get the point of securing the model to the wood base. Since I am doing this wheels down, does anyone have any suggestions on securing the model in a clean way? I know I could probably use epoxy to secure it, but this will be displayed for my Supervisor so I am trying to find the best way to secure the model and keep it presentable.

You could drill/insert brass/metal rod then secure the rod with epoxy or CA....I've used this methed several times..
Hope it helps... :)
