That is a good link too.  One thing I would like to add to what your link stated is that you can use Dyno tape  (for a dyno labeler.) instead of the 3-m tape.  It is made out of plastic, and will stick to the model.  You can even use it a few times before the sticky wears off.  It will conform to curved surfaces and has a hard edge to it.
