Thanks guys! Still working on the engine. And need to fix some issues that I can see now that the primer is on.... It will be close to get this done for the end of the contest.

Hi all! Big update!!

I want to get this paint scheme on it. Very subtle panel lines... I am hopping my method works....

I am painting the whole ship a dark colour then mask, then a lighter colour, then mask, and a lighter colour ect.... Then I will use a very thin base coat to blend it all together.

First coat:

Masked:

Second coat:

Masked:

Third Coat\masked:

And removed the masking!!!



Now base coats to blend in all the colours then weathering!!!

I also wired up 44 LEDs for the engines, but I didnt snap any pics of them...

Hey Dano, decals would do a great job of all those even smaller, more faint panel lines....wallpaper decals I mean...
