I am in the starting phase of building a 1968 Corvette Roadster, The base color of the Corvette is going to be Red. It has Five gloss black and a bit of flat black parts then a boatload of Satin Black parts as well including most chassis and suspension parts. I dont like all the black in the car and am looking for a alternate or substitute color to use for the Satin Black parts. Not to mention I dont have any Satin black paint. What is a universal color that I can substitute for the Satin black parts that would look right with the build ?

Satin is just half way between Matt and Gloss. So if you have matt black and gloss black, just mix equal parts of each and you will have satin black.

I have maybe a 1/4 ounce of flat black and a boat load of gloss black. Even if I had the Satin Black I dont like all the black parts in the car. I was thinking of maybe using a silver instead of the Satin black but didnt know if that would look right.
