For my next project, I'm building the 1/1000 Rumlan Winged Defender from the Delta Quadrant.
The 1/2500 Odyssey Slipways and 1/3900 FASA versions of the ship
A quick look at the kit parts.
I especially like the fact that the optional wing up/down wing baffles are clearly marked on the parts
Basic construction went very quickly as there were very few parts.
I did add some detail strips to some olf the edges using some material designed for decorative stained glass work.
Primer coat in Grey
Initial color coat in silver metallic
With the silver coat dry, I gave the whole model a coat of transparent green to get me close to the color I wanted
The wing feathers were painted by hand in with varying shades of blue, followed by a coar of transparent blue.
The impulse engines and baffles, as well as some of the lower details were painted in with gunmetal.
I picked out various details in gold and bronze metallics, especially on the top of the main hull.
The various detail areas were given a black wash, but not the whole ship.
I also painted in the warp engine details with white, followed by a coat of transparent green.
Finished build pics:
Shown with the 1/1000 Miranda class USS Odysseus for scale
