I have been working on this kit for a little over a month and I wanted to share the current status. This is the 1/35 Dragon PzIII ausf J "Initial" kit with a bit of AM thrown at it. Fruil Tracks, Aber Barrels, Aber and Voyager PE, Eureka XXL tow cables, brass aerial and a little bit of scratch building.

These two photos have been my inspiration. Images come from the old Panzer Colors series of books. Unit and location unknown. Markings unknown.

Should be fun to paint.

Here it is with some oil dot filters applied.

Next up - hand painting the turret numbers and adding spare tracks.

I've been making progress. I'm getting closer to the photos. I will never be exact. I found it far too stifling and my brush strokes were rigid trying to replicate the thing exactly. The frosty finish is created with the HS technique. I sprayed two layers of HS and lightly mottled very thin dirty white paint and then gently worked at it with a damp brush.
