The front end on your model truck really sets it apart from other post appoc truck builds I've seen.

The best .50 Cal in 1/24 I've seen is from the Hasegawa Jeep kit. It is a WWII era model so the barrel handle and cradle mount area is dated. The kit is out of production and might be costly, if found, just for the MG. The details are clean though:

A less expensive option might be to find the Tamiya Flakvierling 38 in 1/35. Since this a post apoc (sci-fi) subject the look of these guns may appropriately fit right in. And they are just the right size for 1/24 - 1/25 use.
