Hairspray fiasco:

Since I dont have chipping fluid I decided to try hairspray. My first attempt at hairspray chipping was a complete failure.

I believe it came out of the can too heavy.

I didn't think too much about the volume and carried on.

After letting the spray dry I applied the first color to chip ‐ Vallejo Brown Violet. I noticed the paint felt somewhat tacky even after letting the paint dry.

Using a stiff brush to chip I noticed the paint was balling up into tiny balls of chipped paint.

Even though I was happy with the look I was concerned with the paint debris littering the wings.

So the best course of action was to wash it all off and retry.

I think for this next application I'll need to decanter some spray into a dosing cup and lightly apply the hairspray.
