This next build is the one that the last two or three have been putting to the back burner.
Not happening this time.

Nope.

This build is a "Proposed, Present, and Potential" for the "Omega Flight" group of fighters for Omega 7.
These were all to be in 1/72 scale

The kits involved:
The F-19 "Spectre" from Monogram

The YF-23 "Black Widow II" from DML

The Macross Plus YF-21 from Hasegawa

For the YF-23 cockpit, I painted up the control panels with black, followed by a drybrush of silver
The seat was painted in with cockpit green.
The front and rear cowlings were painted in with Vallejo dark grep primer before a black wash was given to the whole assembly

A 1/72 scale Hasegawa figure gives us the pilot for the F-23

The YF-21's cockpit was painted up with Vallejo light grey primer, followed by panzer grey for the displays.
This was then given a black wash

Working on the pilots of all three birds, as well as the cockpit of the Spectre.
The pilots all had their flight suits painted in with red, followed by using panzer grey on the helmets, boots, and gloves.
The Spectre's cockpit was painted with Vallejo light grey primer.
All of this was then given a black wash for detail

Subassembly work is completed on the YF-21

With assembly complete, all three planes had the canopies masked with 'silly putty.'
NOTE: After spraying the primer, I realized that the F=19's canopy was on backwards. I fixed that before proceeding to paint

All three aircraft were given a coat of Krylon grey primer followed by a lighter grey on the underside and a coat of Testors Graphite Dust on the upper parts of the planes

I printed up custom "Omega 7" markings on clear decal stock.
They're backwards deliberately as I've had problems with the curling on me when done correctly

I sealed the models with a gloss coat, then applied the decals to all three planes.
The engines were painted in with a custom mix to simulate the 'burnt metal' effect on most jet engines
--2 parts Tamiya bright silver
--1 part Vallejo Smoke
--1 part Vallejo Dark Grey primer

With that done, all three planes were given a coat of Krylon flat coat.

Thanks, Kev.

With my custom decals, if they're printed on the clear paper, they almost always want to curl at the edges.
As a work around, I print them backwards, then apply them face down
