My first build (Spitfire MkII)

Perfect plastic putty. Best stuff out there. Water based so it is easy to thin and clean up. I use wet q-tips to clean it up and smooth it out all the time.

Where'd you get it ?

My only experience with acrylic putty is Vallejo -- doesn't harden like the lacquer-base . , and lower adhesion - as expected :p

They have it on some hobby sites...

Or search it on Amazon. Plenty of listings there as well.

I like the applicator that it comes with. I wish the Tamiya came with that it would certainly make it easier to apply to tight places like the wing roots.

Knowing what I know now, if I use Tamiya again, it will be at a much much much slower pace. But I think I will use something different.

For your first aircraft build, this is coming along really nice. Looks like you got the seams beat. You may want to consider a replacement canopy if you have a lot of difficultly fitting the kit supplied ones. Check out Squadron online or Spruebrothers for vacuum formed replacements.

Keep going on the paint, looking forward to an update.
