MPC X-1 Tie Fighter Build

Wanted to share my X-1 with the SMA family. Mostly OOB build, did add a bit of random detail to the top hatch. The kit part is seriously lacking in detail. Paint will be ANH screen appearance, so camo gray. I will be adding some paint touches to jazz it up that ILM didn't bother with.





Some added hatch detail under primer:


"Wings" or "solar panels" with base paint. Some mask bleed but nothing to bad.




Paint layers on the upper hull begin:

That Darth Vader model looks like he's in the perfect pose for sitting on the toilet. Not that you should do that, but it'd be hilarious.

Yeah the Dark Lord looks less than evil in kit. But it will work fine for the shape of Vader.

Finally some decent weather on the east coast over the weekend!! Builds can finally continue. Update on the X-1.

Small update... wash finished, "wings" added. Just need to mount to base and she is finished.
