MPC Star Wars Kits

I still have a soft spot for the MPC X-Wing. It may not be as accurate or as detailed as later kits, but I think it is still a great kit

I'm with Blake. I remember when those came out. I built the X-wing, the Falcon and Darth Vader's TIE fighter (with the figure of Darth Vader sitting on the john), and enjoyed them immensely. I was so disappointed at that time, that no one brought out the regular TIE fighter or the Y-wing. I would still build any of them today.

In spite of the inaccuracies there is no question about the iconic ships they represent. I have good memories (and the standard annoyances) of all four of those kits. I too wish there had been a regular TIE and Y-Wing to go along with them. Fun times ahead with these.

On Shapeways, I found a replacement facade for the Star Destroyer's command tower. It is a great improvement over what the kit comes with.

I have the falcon kit, still in the box, with resin sides, and more brass than you can poke a stick at. Just have to get the courage up to actually build the thing. I've built multiples of these of the years, excepting the star destroyer. Great find.
