This is one of the mini busts sculpted by John Dennett and MoonDevil Studios. All of John's original busts has a story that he has created behind it (He also plans to release these stories sometime in the future).

But this is a story of Bartholomew, a ventriloquist dummy that seems to have a mind of his own. It's been a while so I don't remember all the details. But safe to say the viewer is in for a surprise when the dummy 's face cracks open !

Soon after starting I realized the puppet is supposed to look fake. So all the practice I had making faces look real had to be thrown out the window and concentrated on a fake look. The monster within was glossed to separate it from the puppet .

You say that because of the lack of replies ? :-[

Pretty cool -- What type paints and application ?

Cheers !

Hi,

Yeah was a little surprised. 50 views and no one at the time had anything to say - good or bad.
I'm always up for constructive criticism.

Thanks for the kind words. It's all Vallejo Model Color paints and just a paint brush. And a typical mini style - a base coat, a shadow wash, and then 2 or 3 highlights,
