Mig 25 Foxbat A 1/72 mini craft hasegawa old tool

The kit is poorly detailed and has no engraved panel lines along with very bad allignment of parts

However with lot of putty and some scratch built detail for cockpit I was able to make it up a bit

The pilot is an Airfix body and modified esci figure for the head/helmet

After sanding and washing the model I gave it a glossy black coat as primer

And then I proceeded to the paint, a generic primer gray, i gave some shades to the grey with pastels oil and acrylic washes after a wax coat

Got the same kit back when it first came out and no, still haven't built it. Did some TDY time at Shemya AFB, Alaska in 78(?) where my commander was a major and one of the people who debriefed Belenko in the Washington D.C. area after he was brought to the states. He was kept in a safe house run by the C.I.A. and everyone was worried he might be found/kidnapped by the Russians and taken back to Russia. Then one night, he disappeared, and everyone went kind of bat shit crazy looking for him, thinking the Russians had gotten him. Nope....he'd gotten horny and left to find a hooker?! After that, the agency made sure he had feminine companionship. Amazing what you can learn while in the military.
