Small update. Made some cans and a spray can. About 10mm high.
Adding washes to the Krote at the minute. Pics later maybe.

Still need to add grasses and moss.... 14 days left

Almost finished. Bricks and Krote need paint touch ups. 99% there.....

Test pics for final:

Hmmmm.... borrowed a DSLR from work and tried a few test pics, 1 in sunlight and one in the 'studio' : Not too sure if I like it. Might try my trusty cheap fuji tomorrow.

The camera seems to give to much depth of field even playing with apperture settings didn't help that much.

I'll take some more tomorrow and play around with them in Photoshop at work to see what happens.
Using Gimp on a netbook is hard work








OK looking at them again I think I prefer the indoor shot. I'll add a bit more of a diffused light from top and take a pic a little further away to try and get less DOF.

Why do you want less DOF? It seems modellers are always trying to get more.

I agree, though. Go with the indoor shot. The outdoor one creates to harsh of shadows for the scale

Thanks for the feedback. I do think that if it's 'diorama' it should set a scene or tell a story. A brief moment in time. A snap shot.....
