The only difference i would be curious about was scale..sometimes 2 of the same scale models wont be exact whether it  was built by the same manufacturer or by 2 different manufacturers. You might be able to get some more research from tv programs, there are some videos on youtube called "dogfights sinking the bizmark" really good video program  if you need anything reference photos etc. let me know I can try to help you as best as I can. Also try looking to see if there are any squadron books on either one of the 2 ships your building...they would have all sorts of information.
