LCP boat from Saving Private Ryan?

Howdy,

2 questions, can anyone ID the type of landing craft used in the opening scenes of Saving Pvt. Ryan? I have looked at a boat load (ba dum dum ;D ) of assorted landing craft, but they all seem so much larger than the one used in the film. But maybe that is tricks of the camera, I don't know.

Does anyone know of a kit of that particular boat?

it's tough to normally try to figure them out as they were a mix of British and U.S. but here is a good site to give you an idea of the types used there are Landing Craft, Assault types, Landing Craft, Infantry which are larger then the LCA and so on

Rechecked the footage it looks like a Landing Craft, Mechanized that tom hanks and the men came in on

Italerie and Trumpeter offer LCM in 1/35th scale.
Both are decent kits, with Trumpeter being on the better end.
