My magnifyer lamp is about 5 inches diameter and it suits me just fine. Had it for 10 years now. Just replaced the bulb a week or so ago.

I'd love to get a bigger diameter one someday but it's not my first priority at the moment. Try finding them at JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Harbor Freight.
OttLight magnifiers are very good and are around $80 or so. ULINE online store has nice LED ones too and are crazy expensive - starting at $190 upwards to $230.
