Kennedy Patrol boat

Yes, kind of greasy surface. Need to isoprop it, regular water and washing-up liquid wount do the work

LOL

That's a brand new release from Revell too .
Everything I've seen shows no mold release used in injection molding and I've NEVER had any kits with any residue on them .
I keep hearing about it but I thought release agent is used only with resin casting . How could they maintain close tolerances with injection molding if there would be " goop" in the molds ?

I'm not sure, but I'd imagine that they have to lubricate the mechanism from time to time. That was my only kit that was ever like that. On my fingers, it felt like dry lubricant or something like Mann's mold release. In the case of my ICM Luchs, it was even quite visible when you held it up to light.

Its done.

Some windows poped out when removing the liquid masking.. will not fix that.
Some issues like broken antenna, flag pole, one Kennedy decal a bit torned.

The ropes holding the cannon turned out good.
Overall ok but a bit annoyed with the errors. Will forget about those.

Looks great! I remember in my youth years (late 70s) I did JFK’s PT-109 but mine was a large kit and I believe it was motorized. It included crew and a manned gunner you can swivel. Can’t remember the kit brand but I can remember the box cover somewhat.
I also did do the old vintage Revell 1/72 scale PT-109 kit as well.

Some pics of mine

Looks good to me, I have one to build. I never wash plastic before a build, Instead i just mist built kit with ISO and air dry it with empty air brush before spraying colors
