Here is my kit i will be using for the BSC the base for this will be Tamiyas excellently moulded kit a metal barrel a small helping of PE and some fruils general idea for this will be a what if situation if the war had carried on into the later stages of 1945 and the russian had brought this to the battle table ;) hopefully you all like my choice

Re: JS 3 Berlin 1945

Should be fun. Will you have to add a piece to the house once completed? ;D

Re: JS 3 Berlin 1945

Ooo I love the look of Russian tanks. There's something about the lines that inspire sci-fi.

Re: JS 3 Berlin 1945

Heres a small update progress is slow as there has been a lot of preparation to do before i can start putting the kit together the molded fenders were sawn off then i had to add the angled hull armour which the fenders covered i used plasticard sheet for this then filler was added to hide any gaps weld beads added with Magiscuplt textured with Tamiya Putty mixed with glue then i made a start on all the torch cut edges using a a sharp blade then use glue to smooth over i have decided to loose 2 road wheels on the right side so i have lowered the suspension by 50% to get it to lean a little ;) more soon

Like all the extra work you putting into this mate, it'll really show through at the end.

Re: JS 3 Berlin 1945

Thanks for the comments the kits texture is very good the best i have seen on any model i have added a small amount to differ the panels managed to get tracks and the barrel at Sundays show but still got to purchase some PE to start the turret :)

Looking good so far. One has to love the early IS-line of tanks... :D

Perhaps a stupid question, but I'm not entirely sure why you cut into the front and the fenders? Was the kit not accurate or...?

Re: JS 3 Berlin 1945

So are you moving onto this now that the truck is done!??? ;D
