Iron Man lighting

I'm looking for some advice on lighting Iron Man specifically the repulsors in the hands. The chest and head areas are easy but i'm struggling with the hand repulsors. Any suggestions? That space is so small. I've tried 1mm leds but they don't quite fit. I can fit fiber in there but it doesn't seem bright enough. Any thoughts?

If you bloom the ends of the fiber with say a lighter. Don't burn it.
This will leave you with a little light bulb on the end and much brighter than just a flush cut end.

Which kit are you using? I recently finished the dragon and it is very tricky to get lights round.
The moebius kits are much easier.

Try an SMD LED, but get the pre-wired ones. If you don't you will go cross eyed trying to solder the wires to them. One of the things I just don't like to do is soldering magnet wire to SMD's....

What's good source for the SMD's. Would radio shack have them?

I doubt it, but I know ebay will have them. So will Jameco electronics.
