Some photos from this years Blizzcon (Blizcon? whatever). Some really amazing models this year.
My apologies for some of the blurry photos, the lighting was atrocious in there and I was shooting everything with my phone.
The link to the full album is below, but here are a few of the highlights and my favorites.
This ship was in a glass case making photos difficult but it won everything there. The full hanger was detailed out and lit up. Was VERY impressive, I wish I could have got come close up shots of the details, there was nothing left to add to this baby.
This F-16 D Block 50 took home top hardware in the Aircraft cat, including a best in show for Aircraft.
The Terminator skeleton made an appearance and won best Misc model. This thing was a monster at probably 8 feet tall. The base had ambient lighting, and would kick out smoke everyone once in a while.
A fun dio that I quite enjoyed. Very creative and done really well.
These two were painted EXCEPTIONALLY. I couldn't stop looking at the eyes. Incredibly lifelike.
This ship was REALLY cool as it's a paper model. The first ship I've seen in paper, and it was very impressived. It reminded me of Fruit. One of these days he's going to build one of those things and show us all..., just messin' with ya frut..., kinda
Lots of good armor in the album too with a couple of stand outs. Not sure who took home prizes for the armor. There were a lot of autos that caught my eye too, and I'm not really into auto at all. Some amazingly detailed bikes and cars today!
I think they said there were just over 500 models entered in the contest today, so I would say that's a pretty good show.
Hope you enjoy the photos. I had a great time today, and I think all that participated should be congratulated. It's nice seeing so many people out there participating in art.
If you want to see what I hauled in from the vendors today I'll post it here (http://www.scalemodeladdict.com/forum/index.php/topic,4581.0.html).
