Having recently built a concorde for a friend I have been asked to build a red arrow hawk for someone else.

Not my usual line of building but he is providing the kit so I will give it a go.

My only aircraft I intended to do was a Stuka, keeping with the German theme. I prefer my armour builds.

Anyway, photo attached and I will update as I go. Pantherman.

True, but I wouldn't get free kit's to build.

I get paid in models for any commissions I do. I figure I am just going to turn it around and spend it on models anyway

plus, if the person can find a good deal on things, they can get off even cheaper. I am not picky when it comes to things being used, opened, or not in mint condition

I'll be watching this build intently as I happen to live in the county where the arrows are bassed

Made a start, just waiting for some new paints to arrive as german grey on a red arrow just doesn't seem ideal !!

Nice looking cockpit in that "can of soup". Reminds me of my childhood and Campbells tomato soup, not sure why.

Have to admit the Red Arrows mounts are quite a bit more "aerodynamic" than a tin can! Were all their planes 2 seaters? I kinda would like to do a Snowbirds aerobatic plane someday, guess someone finally molded a new molding of one, CT-114 Tutor.

All red arrows are BAE Systems Hawk T1 twin seated training aircraft. They have an uprated engine and small modifications for production of the colored smoke.

Little bit further along. Think I will tidy up the cockpit details before I glue the fuselage.

An hour of reading through some of the threads is probably a far better way to learn new skills, I'm only a beginner here.

Got the fuselage glued together and have filled a few minor gaps. Assembled the wings so tomorrow will be sanding and dry fitting them together.

I'm looking for some advice.
I have watched a few videos of this build and no-one has primed before painting. I always clean down and prime, this build would be in light grey but thought I would put it out to you guy's for your opinion.
The top coat is vallejo vermilion which would be red on the red plastic.
