Hello all,

I am new to custom decals and I just made my first. All is well but now I need to understand what's best for sealing them. I looked at Decal Bond but it looks to no longer be available. I can use a spray gun but I am not that in depth to modeling. I can do it if I need to but thought maybe some of the other options might work as good.
I did pick up some Testors clear decal paper and getting some new ink for the ink jet I pulled out of storage.

I use Micro Set and Micro Sol for decaling. Then a spray a coat of clear to seal it in.
Do you make your own? What do you use to protect the ink before soaking in water to start the actual application?
I just made and printed my own decals but am at a stand still till I get some better information.
Just for kicks I tried a practice decal, and sure enough, after the decal was removed from the paper and applied, the ink smeared while adjusting it's position. Some folks used to use Tester Decal Bond but it has been discontinued.

Some other items are available but only for use with a spray gun.

Well that got ugly real fast!!!!! I knew better than to put the wings, gear, tail and prop on before the decals. Hard little buggers to hold on too and I worked my way off the table and it crashed!!!!

Blacksheep Two One Four, I got some Set/Sol coming too for the next model.
