But it's not all that useful for us here beyond the very basics.

I'll agree with what those here have added.

Keep it short, and to the point.

Also, with today's software, there's no law saying you have to record it all in one session. Feel free to combine multiple shorts into one video.

Some other tips I've picked up:

Get your voice volume as high as it can go.

Try and keep any background music to a low level as to not drown out your vocals.

If you use an "intro," try and keep it short.
