Hi,
I wonder, has anyone attempted to make homemade Vallejo airbrush thinner? I can't find any clue about it's chemical composition. What other things can i use instead of vallejo's product?

It's mainly water with propylene glycol as a retarder and a tiny amount of ammonia for a surfactant .
no alcohols .

I can provide flow improver and retarder but no stock on thinner, so you say mixture of windex, distilled water and glycerine is ok? Windex includes ammonia but pure ammonia can be added also?

The amount of ammonia is tiny .
fraction of a percent of volume .
Just start with water and retarder .

Thanks, ammonia is also very hazardous to work with, it makes me scare
By the way can you suggest ratios for mixture of paint, water, flow improver and retarder if possible?

Proper paint to reducer ratios are environment and paint specific .
You'll need to adjust things to work with the paint type and spray environment , temp and humidity plus air pressure and needle size ,, for best results .
