The PE on this kit is actually pretty awesome (not sure if other HB kits are like this or not, but other PE companies could learn from HB).

The PE is in a couple of different thicknesses depending on the parts, and the PE fret is sandwiched between 2 sheets of tacky plastic. Cut the plastic off from around the part on one side, use a blade to slice the part attachment points (which btw HB was nice enough to put the PE through a 2nd round of etching to reduce the thickness of the attachment points as compared to the thickness of the part), and the tackiness of the back sheet of plastic keeps the part from becoming one with the carpet. Very ingenious. Likely not their invention.....but I don't see many other companies using this method for their PE frets.

Totally agree with you Scott, on that Photo Etch Film thing.... Awesome idea that all Photo Etch
Producers should pick up on !
