HMS Victory Revell 1/146

Great looking build Panther. Like Durango Dave, I'm looking forward to the rigging mainly because I never had much luck with it when I was younger, haven't touched rigging since then :D

Thanks, much appreciated. Pantherman

I love the , " copyright Revell Inc 1959 " on the deck .
Is that historically accurate ?
That must have confused the hell outta the crew ...
Yeah, for some reason I thought this was going to be covered so I didn't remove it. Might have a rope coil placed strategically in that very spot if I remember to do it

Whoa ! .
What ??
That stays exposed ?
I myself also assumed some component must cover that up .
YIKES !

plus , 1959 .
that thing was engineered when cars could still fly ,

Probably explains the huge amount of flash on everything. Pantherman

Haha ,
crazy .
You need to mount a modern deck gun there or something ..
or maybe just like an old street-side newspaper stand

The ones that don't need to be turned into some kinda Soylent Green adjacent chicken feed .
Although ,
personally , I prefer the early sixties fin heights .
The 63-64 Cadillacs

Another part missing so made a new one. Pantherman

Moving on nicely now. Most of the hull is done except the bit's that stick out as I'm bound to break them off.

I have decided to build the masts separately rather than build them from the deck as the instructions mainly for the same reason as above, I will break something. Pantherman

They did that on their 1/72 Razor Crest as well. Raised inscription just like that on the back hatch. Not even on the inside either

Got the main masts done ready for fitting. Front mast finished but I will leave this until last to fit.

Added the boat's to the main deck and made a start on the windows, still got to straighten them up a bit. Pantherman
