So im using Vallejo black wash which is water based. Im trying to just give a dirty aged look.

So my model is coated in AK glossy varnish.

Should I dilute the wash or put it on stright from the bottle?.

When it dries should it be black and then remove most of it or should it be more of a lighter shade almost translucent
