While taking stock of my collection/supplies etc , I came across my Halcyon "Alien(s)" models . Amongst them was the Sulaco , originally built and painted 20-odd years ago . The kit showed it's age and if I were to build it today , I'd do some things differently , but generally it didn't look TOO bad . I'm "tweaking" a couple of bits here and there ( basically , I'd used graphite powder for the weathering and overdone it a little in areas ) and I'll be mounting it on a base ( the one in the photos is a stand in ) but generally a little work will bring it up to scratch and it'll be back on display .

Next up will be the "Narcissus" , which needs a LITTLE more work !

Finished up the Sulaco and mounted it on a custom base . I simply laminated a piece of mdf with a sheet of styrene , gave it a quick blast of cheap grey primer and completed it with a small brass nameplate I had made when I originally built the model .
