So I have decided to venture a little from my usual builds but not too far as it's German and military.

Done a bit more. Got the front drive finished and have started assembling the body as I will have to spray it at different stages during the build to get the best effects.

Complicated trying to imagine what needs finishing before you actually finish the whole thing. Confused......so am I.

Thanks, it's starting to come together nicely. Still a few parts that just don't seem to fit where the instructions show so building this a bit out of sequence. Going to the end of the build with some bit's while still working on some of the initial stages.

When you masked off for the chrome, did you air brush or just use a brush?

Airbrush, thought it would give a better finish. Alot of hassle for a tiny amount of spray but I do love cleaning the airbrush (OCD kicks in) afterwards.

It's only a cheap £25 one but after 18 months it still looks like it just came out of the box (which I also still have and clean....sad).

Well, hell,looks great. My airbrush hates me, it's a 40+ year old Badger tha gums up faster than it takes me to type this.

This build is moving on fairly quickly now, got it mostly assembled and a coat of gloss to seal it while I do the finishing bit's and pieces. Lights, mirrors, handles and windows.

Little bit of finishing and painting on the engine as well. I have made the front so it lifts off. Couldn't find a neat way of keeping the radiator in place so it all comes off just to see the work on the engine.

Little bit of weathering to do but will keep it mostly clean and shiny, after all, it's a staff car and not your ordinary vehicle.

Got the figures to build and paint so a little way to go yet to the final diorama.

Car is almost done, needs a few gloss coats then the windscreen and door windows to be added. And the decals. Maybe a little weathering?

Figures are coming along nicely, lot's of very thin coats. Trying something new with these.

Started the diorama, small basic one I think.
