I make sure It doesn't sit long enough to dry, run some water through and run a Q-tip in the paint cup.  Then I disassemble and run my brushes through the gun.  Never had a problem.  May have a little to do with my particular brush, but I never needed anything other than water.

I do soak the tip in Createx restorer for a while just to be safe tho.
