Hello fellow addicts!

I wanted to post some pics (to date) of my first build in 40 yrs. I chose Tamiya's 1/350 Yamato w/ Lionroar Set + some Voyager and Veteran Models upgrades. I only have base coat applied in most pics, brass unpainted as yet and awaits airbrush, wood deck and assembly. I will post more pics this week when i start airbrushing. oops in looking at the pics myself, I see some fine tuning that is required on some of the pe ... but its 99% done.

Thx Scott! (from Elm City Hobbies) "his stuff is good, his advice even gooder"

Thanks for viewing my project and all comments welcome!

OK - I'm gonna go see if I can pick my jaw up off the floor and then I'll be back to say hi and comment on this build.

I have seen parts of this build in person, and as good as it looks in the photos, they don't do the work involved justice.

Tim....no pressure, but the CAMS show is May 28th....only 74 days to finish it, but no pressure! ;D ;D ;D

I'm back. Welcome comfortableNumb - Tim. Very great to have you here and thanks for registering.

OK, I saw all that amazing PE and just about fainted. What a build! Can't wait to see more of this. Wow.

Great to have another ship builder here too. So cool.

Has anybody else said holy cow? No not taken? Okay, Holy Cow!! I've never seen so much brass on one build.

I think it could use more brass. ;D Seriously, did you have to assemble all those little brass pieces?

Better question:
Is there any part of the superstructure NOT getting a heavy dose of brass?
