Thanks Grendels, that's the hope anyway. I've got absolutely nothing against wallpaper decals but I prefer the look of a painted surface, and this way I know that there's no other "D" out there that looks exactly like mine (that sounds pretentious, it's not meant that way haha!)

Me and decals don't play nicely together, tried a couple of times with those on a 1/1000 Refit and some panels on an Excelsior. I just cant get them to a point where I'm happy with them, there's a definate skill to applying decals...I don't have it haha! :

I have a couple of times, I even stopped working on it for a while to build a Bat-Pod and re-build an '89 Batmobile...it keeps calling me back though!!

Custom mixes of Revell acrylic white and blue, guestimated to match the colours in the Christies photo's. My tip...add TINY drops of blue to pure white rather than loads of white to tone the blue down
