Hey guys
I just wanted to present the latest videos from Modellours Workshop. The concept is called 'Diorama of the Day' and I will use these videos to show some of the astonishing work I come across. I'm planning a whole series and have published three videos so far.
The first video was also the one that got me started. I saw this beautiful and inspiring diorama on a blog by Cobra Modelling Club, a group of Hungarian model builders. I was intrigued by the diorama and had to search for video of the original Sherman. I found some great footage and simply had to make the video. I think it came together in 20-30 minutes. I have added some liquid music and some ocean sound effects. The music is done by a Danish hiphop artist and a personal friend.
I came across Paul Keefe on Facebook and I have no idea why I haven't heard about him before. All his work are commissions and I really think he makes some of the most inspiring work I have ever seen. Maybe it's because it's commissions. I'm not saying he's the best modeller(if a such exists) but I really like his ability to tell a story. Something a lot of modellers forget when they construct a diorama.
I have made these two videos with Paul so far and I have another in the works. The next diorama is called 'Uberkrote' and is a Sci-Fi piece. Paul has documented every step so I will also make 1 or 2 videos about the build. I am not sure how to make the build videos because I don't want to do a simple slideshow with music and text. I'm hoping I will get struck by sudden creativity and come up with an idea. This is just a little sneakpeak...
