Hi so here is my entire for the watercraft category.
It's a Verlinden kit which had 2 version of the sub inside. One was the waterline version which I made several years ago and the second one is the entire version which wasn't even touched.
Here are entry photos:

I will start work after the weekend when I come back from a hobby show :)
If the entire is good and valid of course :)
Cheers
Lukasz

Nice one! No much to glue, but it'll require a good paintjob. Any alterations planned? ... like making it into a cutaway with all the innerds?;)
I am very much looking forward to it!
Cheers,
Guido

Again Lukasz...nice kit!! Might be having a floaty thing at some point...need to get through my others first!! Bring it on!! :)

Nice! Worked in the Coast Guard years ago in Charleston, SC, near where it was sunk. The Navy had a camera pointed 24/7 on the site, so no one could go diving down there and try to loot it.

Then they raised it and restored it as a museum piece a few years back. Very interesting vessel.

Thanks my Friends :)
Tailor - well maybe there is not much gluing but there will be tricky gluing to be done :) I wont be making a cut away. It would be loads of drilling as the hull is filled with resin.

TRM - well I wonder what will you make :)

Cave_Dweller - Uuuu then you have some insides on the sub :) Maybe you could help me then ;)

Glorfindel - Yes it's a big chunk of resin :)

I will try to post some more pictures in the evening :)
Cheers

The boat is assembled and coated with primer. I pre-shaded and pre-highlighted it with white and dark gray primer. Thus prepared, the model waits for color.

All thou I didn't update the topic for a long time I was working on this sub.
I had major problems with it as the build was full of Murphy’s laws.
Anything that could go wrong went wrong.
So I had to make repairs and corrections all the time.

At this point I only need to make some small touch ups and it will be ready for final photos.

Thanks John.
Here are the photos of the finished thing :)

The first submarine in history that sunk a ship! Now that's a treat! =)

The sub has been recovered and restored for quite a while but it is still not clear how the mine/torpedo was attached to the ship. All historians agree that it was on a very long pole but noone is 100% sure if it was on the top or on the bottom part of the sub and if the barrel with explosives was facing up or down. But I can see that you have decided to go for the most convincing and probable arrangement. =)

Great job. Thank you for showing us this unusual piece of history.

Great job on an interesting subject. You really nailed the plate metal look.
