I am considering getting this kit. Does anyone have experience with AMT?

AMT is one of the older American modeling companies, contemporary to the original Monogram, Revell, the old Aurora, Lindberg, most prominently. AMT's catalog a lot of car and truck kits, then aircraft like the F7F, the A-20 (several variants), classic airplanes from the 30s, among other subjects.
Those kits reflect the technology and the expectations of their time. You might have to do more work on them than on today's kits, like Eduard, ICM, Dorawings, but they're still worth building. And in cases like the Tigercat, I think they've got the only kits in 1/48, if that's your preferred scale.
I've got their old F4U kit in 1/48, for example. Externally it looks pretty good but the cockpit is practically made up. The seat looks like something from a sci-fi subject. But that can be remedied by scratchbuilding or aftermarket detail sets. The A-20 kits are a little better than that. But it's still the only 1/48 A-20 out there, if I'm not mistaken.
If you do a web search, you'll find some online reviews or builds of the Tigercat. Here are some reviews at Modeling Madness, for example:

https://modelingmadness.com/review/korean/f7fa.htm
https://modelingmadness.com/review/korean/f7fb.htm

One thing to look out for is the tires, which were vinyl, and I think some builders noted that the vinyl eventually attacked the styrene. I don't know if there are any, but it's worth it to look for aftermarket replacements.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will pass on this kit. Although I really like the look of the F7F Tigercat.
