Hey guys,

I have this really bad habit of going to the hobby store once a week. I just can't help it... Most of the time I can get out without buying anything. Different story today though as I spotted this guy for $10! Not sure if it's a great deal or anything but I figured at that price I can't go wrong especially when the kit comes with two figures!

When I got home I had no real idea if I was going to build it now or wait until after a few of my review items but I figured I'd date stamp a picture just to be safe.

Well, at 7 pm my wife and I sat down to watch some T.V. together and I brought out my mobile build station and got to work. Well, by the time the movie ended I had finished the build...

Overall, very smooth build. There were two fit issues with the kit. 1 is the engine cover, it needs to be thinned down to fit over the engine. 2 the top front of the vehicle didn't sit flush with the lower part. Some white glue was used as filler and then a coat of Mr. Surfacer was used.

Hopefully I'll have this one painted and weathered up in no time. thanks for following along!

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

Nice build indeed, looking forward to see the paint!

Cheers

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

Cool. Was the hull of that made with wood or steel? IIRC it's wood.

Hey Scott,

I've done next to no research on this thing but a quick wikipedia read states they were made of plywood. I just saw it in the hobby shop and thought it be a fun quick little build. In about 4 minutes I did find some pretty cool pictures on the googleweb

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

I bought one of those for ten bucks as well, although I don't think it's the exact same kit since Trumpy has two (the one I had is the bigger one in the background of the box top artwork I think?) I gave it to Scott last year at Armorcon to do something with.

and yeah, they're mostly plywood or whatevs

The one thing that's pretty cool about this build, at least for me, is the fact that this will be the first time I've finished a build for the BSC.

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

Some of you guys might laugh a bit but I'm like 99.9% done... I've got to put the MG in the mount but I wanted to get these up for you to see.

What do you guys thin so far?

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

I "thin" so far you did a fine job there Adam!! Quick and dirty...two best parts to any build!! ;D ;D ;D

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

Wow, what a quick build with excellent results.

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

Thanks guys! I have to finish up the MG and I'm going to build the two figures that come with it as well. Then it's back to the Bradley and review items I've been working on in the shadows.

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

I blinked and it was done! Fast work. And it looks good as well.

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

Thanks Scott! Thanks G! I'm hoping to get the MG put in and the Figs done in the next few days.

Re: A quick little Aerosan...

Hey guys, so I've never painted a figure in 1/35 scale before. Gosh the face is TOUGH!!! Anyways, here's where I'm at for tonight. I've got to let everything dry a bit more and then I'll hit it with a matt coat tomorrow.

So, after on a few days my Aerosan is complete. I know that my figures aren't that great but it was the first time I've ever painted figures in 1/35 scale. This was a really fun build for me, party because it went so fast and also because I got to try out the figures as well as painting and weathering a white vehicle.

Anyways, on to final pictures.
