Yes the Half life series of games.

This is one big beastie.
Heavy too!.



Made the engine type thing on underside near the fan.
Will smooth the edges later.




Hollowed out the body and added a little clay for a flesh like appearance.

I must be honest, I've never played nor know anything about the Half Life series :-\ but this is such a unique build, very enjoyable, and you are brave for using air dry clay for the bulk of it Cant wait for some paint!

HL is a rather rear scale modeling subject, and it is awesome to see each new build related to these game series.

Thanks!,you would think for a game like half life there would a lot more products out there to buy than there is.

Just a little update tonight.

On the gunships they have a glowing skin in there underbelly.

Also the hollow of the gunships belly in the game is a lot wider than mine but i think i will just leave mine as is.
For the glowing skin i was going to use some string light leds but laziness got the better of me again : and i thought i would try some a little different and a bit weird.

I have a load of trebor mint foil wrappers which i cut into and glued in place.





Snatched some old ma.k engine bells from my spares and glued the foil inside.

And last i made those fins that stick out on the engine under the back fan.

Gave it some innards and applied more foil.
Will need a little clean up on parts.

The mesh used is bug mesh for windows.

For the large eye's on the sides i first glued some material around them and then added the mesh.






Cut strips of thin metal and glued them like ribs over the engine section.
