When clearcoating a finished model do you spry everything?

Clearcoat will dull down chrome parts .

I’d clear coat body separate without bumpers, side mirrors, trimwork PRIOR to attaching windsheild and body to chassis. That’s pretty much the standard process for 100% of model auto builders. Any clear coat will dull chrome.

Why do you feel a finished car kit needs to be clear coated?
