Not crazy about the motorized 1/48, but it looks sharp in either mode.

I hope they do a non electronic version as well. Maybe further down the line.
The Star Destroyer is a must have, just have to figure out how to justify a kit that expensive, especially since it will be NZ$400+ before shipping and customs jump on anything $300 or more.
Maybe someone in Japan can send it over in a bunch of smaller packages

I don't doubt that the Star Destroyer is coming... I just doubt a 'friend who owns our local random hobby shop in England' having the inside track to Bandai's distant release schedule and price points... Especially considering Bandai doesn't even market their kits directly outside of East Asia... And the whole license to sell Star Wars kits only in Japan bit...

I would peg the price closer to 30,000yen if it has fiber optics (has Bandai ever used fiber optics in any kit ever?). They could split it up too and sell the lighting kit separate like they did the perfect grade unicorn.

i got my R2 & R5 kit this morning,......so many parts,....so many of them tiny

I really want to light this kit,.....and probably paint it,.....possibly only the white & aluminium/silver parts,....the big join on R2's head??.....hmmmm

Believe it or not, he did have a silver leg. Odd I know. I couldn't believe it either when I saw a figure of him in the 90s.

I believe there was a scene where C3PO was captured, taken apart and thrown in a robot recycling bin. Chewy found him, collected all the pieces, but could not find the lower leg and grabbed the silver one. Chewy then carried him around for a while in a sack on his (her) back.
At least that's what I remember. It's been a while since I watched the original movies.
