Probably because MCW aren't acrylic and even if I wanted to go laqcuer this stuff is much hotter than almost every other hobby paint. My impression is quality control is hit or miss with the new ownership.

One day if I need a very accurate classic color, maybe I'll spend the $$ and try them. So far I haven't had the urge.
