Aloha y'all! I'm getting back into building model aircraft after a 25 year hiatus. I built many models as a kid, mostly armor and aircraft without any specific plan. Now, I have goals. I spent 15 years as an air traffic controller in the U.S. Air Force and plan to build most of the aircraft that I controlled.

First on my list are the F-4E from Ramstein Air Base, the OV-10 from Sembach Air Base, and the T-37 from Randolph Air Force Base. Although I wasn't a controller at Randolph, I watched them fly there every day and always thought they were beautiful. My scale-of-choice is 1/48. Other aircraft on my list include the A-10, T-38, F-111, B-1B, C-130, SR-71, TR-1, F-15, F-16, A-7D, F-117, KC-135, KC-10, B-52, C-141 and C-5A.

There's a lot of talent here, and a lot of knowledge and experience, so I hope that I'll be able to make some posts in the near future with models that are half as good as those of you who post your amazing models!!

Welcome to the Addict, Walkman...
I'm sure the air guys will be glad to have you aboard, building and commenting, with your experience and enthusiasm!

@Walkman Welcome! I am from Northern Colorado, not sure where in the state you are, but I'd be glad to let you know about the handful of modeling groups along the front range! If you are up near Greeley/Loveland/Fort Collins area the club I belong to, the High Plains Modelers meet on the last Tuesday of the month at the Ranch Events Complex/Larimer County Fairgrounds at 7pm. We'd love to have you pop in for a meetup! If you want more information, send me a message or visit https://highplainsmodelers.org our club website.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

@proximitaslocal - I'm near Castle Rock, midway between Denver and Colorado Springs. I haven't joined any clubs yet, just getting back into the hobby. If I'm in your area for a club meeting, I'll be sure to drop in and find you.

I don't know of any modeling clubs in Castle Rock, but here are some from Denver metro and one south of you meets at the north end of Colorado Springs.
