AMT ertl X Wing

OK, I joined the herd this morning, had a half day at work, came home made dinner and for desert I'm posting here on SMA. Man that's a full day.
Finished this X-wing about a month ago....it's certainly not SW canon and nor did I go for that. I just wanted to finish my first model in about 30 years.
So an hour a night for about 5 months got me this.






Engine shorted out during base coating....not much I could have done about that. I have a SS X wing in my stash as well as the Electronic Pro Shop version. The Pro Shop X wing will be started later this year but until then this is on queue.


Will be doing some scratch building on this as there are several threads out there on some other forums like SSM and RI at this time (hope it's OK Scott to write that) that I will be sponging up ideas on. I'll post WIP on this build.

Thanks guys. The weathering was the best part as the build up truly comes together at that point. Cannot say enough about weathering with oils....they do a fantastic job and are so very forgiving.
