Got the hinges rebuilt this evening.

Used a hole punch to make a couple round pieces for the knuckle of the hinge, which I then glued together for thickness. This was then attached to the cleaned up angled bits I'd previously removed.

I then drilled and cut brass rod to tie to the two pieces together. I also shimmed the angle barrel to make it sit correctly on the body.
