This is the 2nd model I bought after getting back into modeling and has been sitting in my stash ever since. While I wait for some paint/glue to cure, I figured I'd work on this. It's good to have a few models on the bench so you can always be working.

Here's the box art

I painted the inside of the fuselage

And base coated the cockpit pieces

I'll keep updating as I continue to work on this one.

Nice start on a great little kit.

I actually like the newer Airfix Spitfire better than the 1:72 Tamiya. The new 1:72 Airfix stuff is really good value, nice detail, good subjects at a fair price.

Thanks JMac! I was surprised at the amount of detail in this little kit, especially considering I only paid $7 for it!

I've done a little more work on this plane.

I removed the fuselage from the sprue tree, but haven't cleaned it up yet. I also hand brushed a few details and glued the seat to the frame. I also painted the propeller and sealed the tips with future.

The cockpit panel decal was just the tiniest bit too big, so it is a little skewed. I'm not sure how I would ever have realized this before I put it on. It's set now so I don't think I'll be able to fix it either without removing it and buying/printing another one.

Nice start on this !

The NEW Airfix kits are really good value for money, specially in the 1/72 scale !
