A 10A Thunderbolt Tamiya 1/48

Yeah, just wanna finish it and start something new… no space for more than one at the time. Not the most fun project I had at the bench.

That's the kit I'm using for that long neglected A-10 Autonomous build ,, out of sight out of mind . Totally forget about that one .
I was surprised by how lame that kit is .

View attachment 87011 Better with some stuff on the wings.. poor quality on the fire crackers. Lot of sanding and filling, not good, decent maybe.

Looks great man... We can't see any bad seems or flaws, so I'm thinking you've done very well on the sanding and clean up.

It still looks a bit shiny, but that might just be the lighting and the way the photo was taken.

Looking forward to seeing more.

You say this kit is bad? Are there better kits of the A-10 then?

Italeri is releasing a new kit . I don't think it's out yet .
They have 2 others that are better than that Tamiya .

Almost done. Matt coat on, masking pealed off. Just some landing gear details left.

Decent kit overall considering the price but the fire crackers was a dissapointment. No panel lines on wings and majority of fuselage. Cockpit not that detalied.

Turned out better than I expected. The matt coat and the fire crackers saved it.

Pleased with the wheatering, consider it a low milage A10

Never built a ”modern” aircraft before, going for moderate wheatering.

EDIT:
....built a SR71 not long ago if its considered a modern plane, a10 almost as old.. must be the glue
